Happy 4th of July Weekend!
As we celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary, please be aware that the Fourth of July festivities are expected to bring heavy traffic and limited parking to the Deephaven area.
The Excelsior Rotary will host a fireworks display at the Excelsior Commons, and the Minnetonka Yacht Club will hold a fireworks display northwest of Swifts Point on Lake Minnetonka. The Yacht Club will also be closing its Carson’s Bay Facility (CBF) parking lot and using shuttle service for attendees, which is expected to increase traffic and parking demand throughout the area.
All Deephaven public parking areas will be open. Designated permit parking areas will require a valid Deephaven parking permit, and parking enforcement will be in effect throughout the holiday weekend.
There is still time to stop in at the City Hall and buy a parking permit before the events. However, the City Hall office is closed on Friday July 3rd, for the observance of the Independence Day Holiday. Please plan ahead, drive safely, and park only in legal parking areas to help keep everyone safe and avoid parking citations.
